Cloud computing has transformed how businesses operate – and demand for cloud skills is exploding globally and in South Africa. This 3-week live cohort teaches you cloud computing from the ground up: what it is, why it matters, how the major providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) compare, and how to use core cloud services. You’ll get hands-on experience deploying real services and build a foundation for cloud certification.

This is a live cohort course

  • Format: Live Google Meet classes with an instructor
  • Duration: 3 weeks live classes (10 Nov – 28 Nov 2026) plus 1 week for the Final Project (due 5 December 2026)
  • Live Classes: 9 (3 per week – Tue, Fri, Sat)
  • Sessions: Early Morning 07:00–09:00 or Late Evening 20:30–22:30 SAST
  • Assignments: Weekly hands-on cloud deployment tasks plus final cloud architecture project
  • Level: Intermediate
  • Certificate: Non-accredited certificate of completion
  • Recordings: No recordings unless stated

What Will You Learn?

  • Understand cloud computing fundamentals: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, public/private/hybrid cloud
  • Navigate and use the AWS Management Console for core services
  • Deploy and manage virtual machines (EC2 instances) in the cloud
  • Use cloud storage services (S3) and managed databases (RDS)
  • Implement basic cloud security: IAM roles, security groups, encryption, MFA
  • Prepare for AWS Cloud Practitioner certification or equivalent cloud fundamentals exam

Week 1: Cloud Fundamentals, AWS Basics & Virtual Machines
Understand cloud computing, navigate AWS, and deploy your first virtual machine.

Week 2: Storage, Databases & Cloud Networking
Master cloud storage with S3, deploy managed databases with RDS, and build cloud networks with VPC.

Week 3: Security, Monitoring & Full Architecture Deployment
Master cloud security, set up monitoring and cost optimization, and deploy a complete cloud architecture.

Final Project & Certificate
Deploy your complete cloud architecture and qualify for your certificate.
